How do we know God is good when bad things happen?

Answered in 1 source

The goodness of God is affirmed in Scripture, and He is near to those who call upon Him in truth (Psalm 145:18).

In times of tragedy or confusion, it's essential to remember that God's goodness does not waver. Psalm 145:18 states, 'The Lord is near unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth.' This verse reassures us that God is present and compassionate, providing comfort and support to those who seek Him. Even in our darkest moments, we can trust in his righteousness and mercy, knowing that He works all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
