How do we know God is in control during storms?

Answered in 2 sources

God's sovereignty over creation, demonstrated in Mark 4, shows that He is in control even during chaotic storms.

In Mark 4:35-41, Jesus demonstrates His absolute authority over nature by calming a storm, which highlights His sovereignty. The Bible consistently portrays God as the one who commands the elements, as indicated in Psalm 107:29, where it says, 'He maketh the storm a calm.' This affirms that God is intimately involved in our lives and that He controls every situation, granting us peace in the midst of turmoil. The knowledge that God is in control helps us to trust Him when we encounter storms, knowing that He is working all things for our good.
