How do we know God is in control of everything?

Answered in 1 source

We know God is in control because He has decreed all things from eternity and governs history according to His purpose.

The assurance of God's control is rooted in the concept of His divine sovereignty, which teaches that nothing happens outside of His decree. God declared His purposes long before the foundation of the world, as seen in Isaiah 46:10, where He says, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.' This sovereignty encompasses every event in history, including the raising of kings like Cyrus, whom God named 200 years before his birth (Isaiah 44:28). Romans 5:21 illustrates that grace reigns through righteousness unto eternal life, emphasizing that God's governance extends even to the means of salvation, ensuring that every detail aligns with His divine plan.
