How do we know God is in control of our circumstances?

Answered in 5 sources

We know God is in control because scripture affirms His sovereignty over all creation and His intimate involvement in our lives.

The sovereignty of God is a core tenet of the Reformed faith, affirmed throughout Scripture. Exodus 6 demonstrates this through God’s direct guidance of Israel’s oppression and ultimate deliverance. Despite Pharaoh's temporary power and actions against God's people, God's purposes prevailed, illustrating that He is sovereign over even the most powerful rulers. Additionally, Romans 8:28 reminds us that God orchestrates all events for the good of those who are called according to His purpose, reinforcing our trust that nothing occurs outside of His divine authority. Understanding His sovereignty provides comfort in knowing that every situation serves His ultimate plan.
