How do we know God is in control of our troubles?

Answered in 1 source

God's sovereignty assures us that He is in control even during our trials.

In times of trouble, it can often feel like chaos reigns. However, understanding that God is sovereign provides a profound sense of peace. Psalm 31 exemplifies this reality—David expresses his reliance on God, saying, 'My times are in Thy hand' (Psalm 31:15). This declaration reflects a trust that every situation, no matter how dire, is entrusted to God's oversight. Romans 8:28 further reinforces this as it assures us that 'all things work together for good to those who love God.' Therefore, the knowledge of God’s sovereignty leads believers to find refuge and strength in their trials, confident that God is using even their pain for a divine purpose.
