How do we know God is our comforter?

Answered in 2 sources

God is our comforter through the Holy Spirit, who reassures us of His presence and grace in our lives.

Jesus, before His ascension, promised His followers that He would not leave them as orphans. Instead, He sent the Holy Spirit, referred to as the Comforter, to dwell within believers. This indwelling Spirit serves to remind us of God's faithfulness, taking us back to the cross where our sins are paid for. The comfort derived from knowing we are loved and cared for by God is crucial, especially in times of distress and weakness. The Holy Spirit assures us that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, thus providing peace and security amidst life's challenges.
