How do we know God is our help and shield?

Answered in 1 source

The Lord is our help and shield as He protects, guides, and delivers us in all circumstances.

We recognize God as our help and shield through the testimony of Scripture, which reminds us that the Lord is our defender in times of trouble. In Psalm 115:9-11, the psalmist calls upon the Israelites, urging them to trust in the Lord who has proven Himself to be a mighty help and shield. This trust is rooted in our understanding of God’s active involvement in our lives, as He has laid help upon Christ and provides for us through His Spirit. Whether we face struggles, temptations, or fears, we can take refuge in the assurance that God defends His people, guiding and sustaining them in every trial.
