How do we know God is patient with sinners?

Answered in 1 source

We know God is patient with sinners because He repeatedly extends grace, even in their rebellion.

Throughout Scripture, particularly in the account of the Israelites, we see God's immense patience. Despite the Israelites' continuous murmuring, lack of faith, and rebellion, God did not immediately cast them away. He bore with them through countless transgressions, illustrating His longsuffering. Numbers 14 presents a vivid example where God, instead of executing swift judgment, chose to provide further opportunities for Israel to believe and turn back to Him. This patience is rooted in His love and ultimate desire for His creation to be reconciled to Him, showing that God's longsuffering allows for the salvation of His chosen people.
