How do we know God is pleased with us?

Answered in 1 source

God's pleasure in us is based on our union with Christ, through whom He sees us as beloved and accepted.

The Scriptures affirm that God is pleased with His people because of their union with Christ. Colossians 2:9-10 states that in Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead and that believers are complete in Him. As God sees believers through Christ, He rejoices in them just as He rejoices in His Son. This understanding is foundational to recognizing that God's acceptance of us is not based on our performance, but rather on our identity in Christ, which brings Him great pleasure.
