How do we know God is present in our trials?

Answered in 1 source

We can trust in God's presence during trials, as He promises to command His loving-kindness and provide support in difficult times.

In times of trials, believers can find assurance in Scripture that God is present and actively engaged in their circumstances. Psalm 42 reveals David wrestling with his plight but ultimately coming to the understanding that God's presence is a source of salvation and hope. The psalmist reminds us that God's loving-kindness will be commanded in the daytime, and He provides a song in the night, indicating His continual support. This assurance is rooted in God's unchanging nature; He has promised never to abandon His people. Thus, even during trials, God remains an ever-present help, guiding and supporting His children.
