How do we know God is sovereign over life and death?

Scripture asserts that God is sovereign over every aspect of life and death. This sovereignty means that nothing happens outside of His divine will. David's prayer in Psalm 39 serves as a reminder of this truth, as he acknowledges that our days are measured by God.
