God's sovereignty over temptation is evident in Scripture, showing that while we may be tempted, He is ultimately in control.
The sovereignty of God encompasses all aspects of life, including temptation. Mark 1:12 states that the Spirit drove Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted, indicating that God was orchestrating the circumstances. Although sin and temptation arise from our own depravity, God does not abandon us to our sinfulness but rather uses those moments to teach and prepare us. As referenced in Matthew 4:1, Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness for this very purpose. This demonstrates that while Satan may seek to tempt us, God is sovereignly using these experiences for our good and His glory, allowing us to grow in faith and dependence on Him.
