How do we know God is still with His people today?

Answered in 1 source

God's ongoing presence is assured as He promises never to leave nor forsake His people, as stated in Hebrews 13:5.

The assurance of God's presence with His people is a consistent theme throughout Scripture. In Acts 23, we see the Lord standing by Paul, encouraging him to be of good cheer, indicating that God does not abandon His faithful servants even in the midst of trials. This assurance is echoed in Hebrews 13:5, where God promises that He will never leave us or forsake us. His faithfulness and guidance serve as a source of strength and comfort amid life's challenges.

Moreover, as believers, we are called to testify of Christ, and this calling inherently includes the promise of God’s presence in our lives. We may not face the same circumstances as Paul, but the principle remains that God equips and supports us in our witness. The encouragement found in God’s Word, alongside the testimonies of His past faithfulness, reinforces our confidence in His continuing work and presence in our lives today.
