How do we know God looks at us favorably?

Answered in 1 source

God looks favorably upon those who recognize their need for Him and their inability to save themselves.

According to Isaiah 66:2, God looks upon the one who is humble, poor, and has a contrite spirit. Such acknowledgment of one’s spiritual condition and reliance on God for everything confirms the individual’s standing before Him. When we realize that our righteousness comes from Christ alone and humbly depend on His mercy, we can have confidence that God is looking upon us with grace.
