How do we know God loves sinners?

Answered in 3 sources

God demonstrates His love for sinners through the sacrificial death of Christ, who came to save the lost (Romans 5:8).

The love of God for sinners is evident throughout Scripture, culminating in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Romans 5:8 states, 'But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.' This profound act showcases God's desire to reconcile sinners to Himself, illustrating that His love is not based on human merit but is freely given. The cross of Christ is the ultimate expression of divine love, as He bore our sins and the punishment we deserved. Moreover, God's love is also displayed in His call to the lost, inviting them to repent and believe, showcasing His mercy and grace as He seeks to save the undeserving.
