How do we know God loves us through trials?

Answered in 1 source

God's love is demonstrated through trials as they lead to our spiritual growth and reliance on Him.

Trials are often seen as evidence of God's love because they serve a divine purpose in our lives. Hebrews 12:7 refers to going through chastening as God's way of treating us as sons. This implies that our trials and tribulations are forms of discipline, meant to refine our character and faith. In enduring trials, we learn to depend upon God more deeply, growing in patience and trust (Romans 5:3-5). Thus, rather than seeing trials as signs of God's absence or disfavor, we should recognize them as part of His loving plan to shape us into the image of Christ and to guide us into deeper fellowship with Him.
