How do we know God opens the eyes of a sinner?

Answered in 1 source

God opens a sinner's eyes through His sovereign will, enabling them to see spiritual truths they could not perceive before.

The process of opening spiritual eyes is a divine act. As seen in 2 Kings 6:16-17, Elisha prayed for his servant's eyes to be opened, illustrating that spiritual sight is a gift from God. Similarly, in Genesis 21:14-19, God opened Hagar's eyes to see the well of water that was already there. This represents how, through the preaching of the Gospel, the Holy Spirit reveals Christ to the blind, showing them their need for spiritual nourishment. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 teaches us that the eye has not seen nor the ear heard the things prepared for those who love God, but He reveals them through the Spirit.
