How do we know God predestines events in our lives?

The doctrine of predestination teaches that God, in His sovereignty, has determined the course of all things, including the events in each believer's life. In Romans 8:28-30, we are reminded that 'all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.' Moreover, 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 underscores that God chooses the weak and foolish of this world to confound the wise, which supports the understanding that He predestines the means by which His purposes are accomplished. Thus, everything that happens is part of God's grand design to fulfill His will.
