How do we know God preserves His people through suffering?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture constantly assures us that God preserves His people through all forms of suffering, just as He did with the Old Testament saints (Acts 6).

The idea of God's preservation through suffering can be traced throughout Scripture, including the experiences of both Old and New Testament believers. The apostles faced persecution, and yet, as recorded in Acts 6, the church continued to grow and thrive despite adversity. This demonstrates God's sovereign control and purpose in the lives of His people, regardless of their circumstances. His promise to preserve and protect His chosen ones is not contingent on their faithfulness, but rather on His unchanging faithfulness. Even in the midst of trials, God’s grace ensures that His sheep are safe in His hands.
