How do we know God provides for us in times of need?

Answered in 1 source

God's provision is evident through His promises and the testimony of His faithfulness in Scripture.

God's provision manifests in various ways throughout the Bible, demonstrating that He is sovereign over all situations. For instance, when Elijah was sent to the widow of Zarephath, he was assured that she would sustain him, despite appearing destitute (1 Kings 17:8-9). This event illustrates that God's promises are not confined by human logic or circumstance; His ability to provide sometimes defies common sense. The widow’s actions displayed her initial despair, yet it was in her obedience that God’s provision became evident. As seen in Psalm 37:3, trusting the Lord leads to experiencing His faithfulness.
