How do we know God provides support during difficult times?

Psalm 46:1 declares that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. This assurance means that God is not distant during our trials but is actively involved in offering support. The adversities we face are allowed by God to remind us of our need for Him, to seek comfort and strength in His presence. Moreover, Hebrews 2:17 illustrates that Jesus became like us to be a merciful and faithful high priest, capable of sympathizing with our struggles. He is not ashamed to call us brethren, positioning Himself as our helper in times of need, and offering aid when we are overwhelmed by life’s challenges.
