How do we know God pursues His people?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture repeatedly shows that God relentlessly pursues His chosen ones, even when they run from Him.

The relentless pursuit of God for His people is illustrated throughout scripture, culminating in the account of Jonah. Even as Jonah sought to flee from God's presence, God actively pursued him, sending a storm and a fish to bring him back. Such events reflect the sovereignty of God who orchestrates circumstances to draw His people back to Himself. This divine pursuit is an expression of God’s grace, indicating that for His elect, there is no escape from His loving, guiding hand. Psalm 139:7-10 beautifully affirms this truth, showing that no matter where we go, God is present, seeking after us.
