How do we know God qualifies us for inheritance?

Answered in 1 source

We are made fit for inheritance through the work of Christ, who qualifies us by His righteousness (Colossians 1:12).

In Colossians 1:12, the Apostle Paul emphasizes that God has made us 'meet' or qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. This qualification is not based on our own works or merit but is entirely the result of what Jesus accomplished on our behalf. Christ’s perfect obedience and sacrificial death secured our standing before God, allowing us to receive the inheritance promised to His people. As believers, we can be assured that our qualification is rooted in the finished work of Christ, ensuring that nothing we lack could ever disqualify us from eternal life and glory.
