How do we know God's blessings are assured?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible assures us that those who are in Christ are blessed, as God’s choices and declarations cannot be revoked.

The assurance of God’s blessings rests on His sovereign will and immutable promises. In Numbers 24:9, the declaration, "Blessed is he who blesses you and cursed is he who curses you," emphasizes the irrevocable nature of God's covenant with His people. This highlights the stark contrast between the blessings bestowed upon the faithful and the curses awaiting those who oppose them. The underlying principle here is that God’s elect, chosen before the foundation of the world, are sealed with His promises (Ephesians 1:4-5) and are kept in His love. Therefore, any attempts by external forces to curse or undermine that blessing are futile against the sovereign will of God. It is a fundamental truth within Reformed theology that God ensures the perseverance of the saints, securing their status firmly in His grace and favor, thus affirming their assured blessedness.
