How do we know God's calling is effective for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

God's calling is effective because it assures that His elect will inevitably come to faith in Christ.

According to the sovereign grace perspective, God's call to salvation reaches those whom He has chosen from eternity. This call, motivated by His infinite grace, is not futile; it is guaranteed that all of His elect will respond. As stated in Psalm 110, 'Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power,' indicating that those called by God to come out from spiritual darkness will indeed hear His call and will come to faith in Jesus Christ. It's through the Holy Spirit that God convicts and draws individuals, ensuring that not one of His chosen ones will be left behind.
