How do we know God's chosen path is better for us?

Answered in 1 source

God’s chosen path is based on His infinite wisdom and knowledge of our circumstances, leading us ultimately toward our good.

God's ways are higher than our ways, as stated in Isaiah 55:8-9. The Israelites were led through the wilderness rather than the Philistine territory, demonstrating God's protection and timing. Often, the paths we think are best can lead to danger, but God's sovereignty ensures that we are directed toward outcomes that reflect His redemptive plan. As believers, we must trust that God’s seemingly indirect paths are motivated by His immense love and desire to protect us from harm we may not even perceive. His providence assures us that everything is working for our good, even when we do not understand it.
