How do we know God's comfort is real?

Answered in 3 sources

God's comfort is real because it flows from Jesus, who understands our suffering and provides solace from His own experiences (John 14:18).

The reality of God's comfort can be observed through the personal experiences believers have when they turn to the Lord in their times of need. As highlighted in the sermon, Jesus, referred to as the 'man of sorrows,' perfectly understands human suffering. He exemplifies the compassionate nature of God, as His own experiences of pain and loss allow Him to empathize with our struggles. In times when life's trials seem overwhelming, believers can experience the richness of God's promised consolations, which are not just theoretical, but actual and profound reassurances that come from a relationship with Christ. His presence in our lives serves as a reminder of His commitment to bring peace and comfort amidst our sorrows.
