How do we know God's elect are preserved?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus assures that no one can pluck the elect from His or the Father's hand (John 10:28-29).

The doctrine of perseverance is rooted in Christ's own words where He promises eternal security to His sheep, stating that once they belong to Him, they cannot be lost. This is foundational in the Reformed understanding of salvation, which holds that those who are truly elected and given to Christ will be kept by His grace until the end. The assurance comes not from ourselves but from the immutable nature of God and the finished work of Christ, who intercedes for us and ensures our place in His kingdom.
