How do we know God's elect are preserved?

Answered in 2 sources

God's elect are preserved because Jesus states that He will not lose any that the Father has given Him.

The preservation of God's elect is anchored in the will of God as expressed in Scripture. In John 6:39, Jesus states, 'And this is the Father's will which hath sent Me, that of all which He hath given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.' This assurance signifies that the preservation of believers is not dependent on their own efforts but is guaranteed through Christ's divine will and power. Their coming to faith is evidence of being chosen, and their continuation in faith is secured by God. The work of the Holy Spirit further ensures that believers are continually sustained in their faith, affirming the doctrine of the perseverance of the saints, which is rooted in God's unchanging purpose and grace.
