How do we know God's elect are secure in their salvation?

Answered in 2 sources

The security of God's elect is rooted in His sovereignty and the assurance that He knows them, as stated in 2 Timothy 2:19.

The Apostle Paul assures us in 2 Timothy 2:19 that the foundation of God stands sure, knowing them that are His. This foundational truth is pivotal for understanding the security of believers. God's knowledge of His elect is not just awareness but indicates a personal and covenantal relationship. Despite the presence of those who may appear to be part of the faith and then fall away, the truth is that God's purpose and plans cannot be thwarted. Those whom He has called and elected will persevere because they are kept by His power and grace. This assurance provides comfort for believers, grounding them in the confidence that their salvation is secure in Christ.
