How do we know God's elect are true believers?

Answered in 1 source

True believers are known through their steadfast faith and adherence to God's established way of worship.

The marks of true believers, or God's elect, can be found in their persevering faith and the way they adhere to God's ordained means of worship. Romans highlights that not all those who proclaim to be part of God's people are truly so; there is a remnant chosen by grace who genuinely know and worship the true God. This remnant, much like Judah in the biblical narrative, relies on the Lord and keeps His charge. They involve themselves in the worship practices laid out in Scripture, acknowledging Christ's lordship, and recognizing their need for the sacrificial Lamb for forgiveness and acceptance before God.
