How do we know God's glory is our purpose?

Answered in 1 source

Our purpose as Christians is to glorify God in everything we do, as stated in 1 Corinthians 10:31: 'Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.'

The Bible consistently teaches that the ultimate purpose of human existence is to glorify God. In 1 Corinthians 10:31, Paul instructs believers to do everything for God's glory, whether in eating, drinking, or any other activity. This verse encapsulates the idea that all aspects of life should reflect God's nature and honor Him. The purpose of glorifying God is further affirmed in the creation narrative, where humanity is made in God's image to reflect His glory in the world. Additionally, believers are called to reject self-serving motives and seek to edify one another, thus demonstrating God's love and grace in their interactions. As believers prioritize God's glory, they fulfill their intended purpose on earth (Romans 11:36).
