How do we know God's good work is true?

Answered in 1 source

We know God's good work is true because He has promised in Scripture to complete the work He begins in us.

The assurance of God's faithful commitment to His people is rooted in Scripture, as seen in Philippians 1:6, where Paul assures believers that the good work begun in them will be completed. This promise highlights God's immutability and faithfulness; He does not initiate a work that He will abandon. The faithful character of God guarantees the truth of His promises. Moreover, God's work is accompanied by tangible results, such as repentance, faith, love, and obedience in the believer's life, which validate the reality of His transformative grace. Thus, we have confidence that God's good work is not only true but effective.
