How do we know God's goodness in our suffering?

Answered in 1 source

We know God's goodness through His perfect will and purpose that all things, including our suffering, work together for our good.

Believers are encouraged to remember that God is inherently good and that His actions reflect that goodness, even in affliction. As described in Jeremiah 29:11, God's thoughts toward us are of peace and not evil, assuring us of His benevolence. Romans 8:28 reiterates that all things work together for good to those who love God. Thus, understanding God's goodness amidst suffering is rooted in trust in His sovereign plans, which ultimately aim for our spiritual good.
