How do we know God's goodness is real?

Answered in 1 source

God's goodness is evidenced through His benignity and provision in our lives.

The goodness of God is often illustrated through the concept of His benignity, which encompasses His kindness and grace towards His creation. In 1 Peter 2:3, we are encouraged to crave pure spiritual milk because we have tasted that the Lord is good. David's life is a testament to this goodness, as he recounts in various psalms the times God graciously provided for him, such as when he received the bread of presence while in need (1 Samuel 21:6). This goodness manifests not only in physical sustenance but also spiritually, guiding us and providing comfort in times of distress, as seen in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. Our experiences of God's faithful provision reinforce our understanding of His goodness.
