How do we know God's grace is sufficient for joy?

Answered in 1 source

God's grace is sufficient for joy because it assures believers of their standing in Christ and His ongoing love.

The assurance of God’s grace is the foundation that allows believers to experience joy even in difficult situations. The Apostle Paul, while imprisoned, urges believers to 'rejoice in the Lord always' (Philippians 4:4), a testament to the joy that comes from understanding our identity in Christ. This joy is not reliant on circumstances but is rooted in the unchanging nature of God’s grace which lavishes upon us the garments of salvation and the robe of righteousness. The believer's joy is anchored in God's eternal promise and His faithfulness, which makes it sufficient in all circumstances.
