How do we know God's grace is sufficient for overcoming pride?

Answered in 1 source

God's grace is sufficient as it empowers us to resist sin, including pride, and encourages us to embrace humility as modeled by Christ.

The concept of grace is crucial in the life of a believer, particularly in overcoming sin and pride. As the sermon notes, pride is described as a hideous and insidious sin that each of us faces. Yet, the Gospel assures us that God gives grace to the humble. In seeking God's help, as illustrated in James 4:6, we position ourselves for growth and strength to combat prideful thoughts and actions. Through the Spirit's work, we not only recognize our limitations but are reminded that everything we have is a gift from God, calling us to lowliness of mind. Consequently, we can trust in God’s grace as an active resource in our daily lives that helps us to elevate others and live in accordance with His will.
