How do we know God's grace is the foundation for giving?

The foundation of giving is rooted in God's grace, as seen in 2 Corinthians 8, where Paul explains that the Macedonians' generous giving was made possible by the grace of God. Their willingness to give joyfully in the face of affliction reveals that true generosity flows from an understanding of what God has already given. As Christians, we recognize that every good and perfect gift comes from above (James 1:17) and that acknowledging God's sovereignty in our possessions fosters a heart inclined to share. Ultimately, our giving should mirror the grace we have received freely from Him.
