How do we know God's grace is working in us?

Answered in 2 sources

We see God's grace working progressively in us through our growing relationship with Christ and the fruit that begins to manifest in our lives.

The work of grace in a believer's heart is often gradual and mysterious. As stated in Mark 4:27, the farmer casts seed and then does not know how it grows. This illustrates how believers may not immediately perceive the changes God is bringing about in their hearts. However, over time, signs of this grace become visible, such as an increasing love for Christ and a desire to obey His commandments. It is important for believers to be patient with themselves and with one another, understanding that spiritual growth occurs at different rates according to God's sovereign plan. The gradual unfolding of maturity, akin to the growth of a plant—first the blade, then the ear, and finally the full corn—indicates that God's grace is indeed at work.
