How do we know God's grace preserves believers?

Answered in 1 source

God's grace is what sustains believers, ensuring that they persevere in faith, as expressed in 1 Corinthians 4:7.

The assurance of a believer's perseverance is grounded in the grace of God alone. In 1 Corinthians 4:7, Paul reminds us that without the grace of God, none would stand firm in their faith. The Apostle further emphasizes that it is Christ who holds the hearts of believers; without His sustaining power, we would surely falter as seen in John 6:66-68. Thus, believers can take comfort in knowing that although many may fall, God's grace is sufficient to keep His own secure. Promises in Scripture, such as John 10:28, affirm that true believers shall never perish, for they are eternally held in Christ.
