How do we know God's grace sustains us through affliction?

Answered in 1 source

God's grace is a sustaining power that preserves us through life's afflictions, as shown in His promises.

In 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, Paul speaks of being troubled on every side yet not distressed, indicating that while believers face affliction, they are not abandoned. The grace of God is sufficient, as described in 2 Corinthians 12:9, where God's power is made perfect in our weakness. This grace allows us to endure affliction while also imparting a sense of peace and strength. Afflictions serve to remind us of our need for God's mercy and encourage dependence on Him for sustenance throughout life’s trials.
