How do we know God's guidance is true?

Answered in 5 sources

We know God's guidance is true through Scripture, which assures us that the Lord directs our steps and fulfills His purposes.

The assurance of God's guidance in our lives is rooted in the truth of Scripture, which repeatedly affirms that while humanity may devise plans, it is ultimately the Lord’s counsel that prevails (Proverbs 16:9). This reliance on God's sovereignty gives believers confidence that even when outcomes differ from our expectations, they serve a greater divine purpose. Throughout the Bible, we see that God's will is perfect and that His ways, though often mysterious, lead His people toward good.

In times of uncertainty or distress, as believers, our faith rests in the promise that God is actively involved in our lives. When we trust His process, we can look back and recognize His handiwork, understanding that every experience contributes to our spiritual growth. The testimony of other believers, alongside our experiences of God's faithfulness, reinforces our assurance of His true guidance. In the end, we can rest in the certainty that God's plans for us are rooted in His goodness and mercy.
