How do we know God's judgment is righteous?

Answered in 9 sources

God's judgment is righteous because it is based on His unchanging nature and His word, ensuring that He will always act justly.

The concept of God's righteous judgment is deeply rooted in His character. In 2 Thessalonians 1:6, it states, 'Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you.' This verse clearly indicates that God's judgments are based on justice; He will recompense those who afflict His people. Moreover, the scripture assures us that the judge of the earth will do right (Genesis 18:25). Because God's nature does not change, His judgments reflect His perfect righteousness and holiness. As believers, we find comfort in the understanding that God will ultimately judge rightly, rewarding those who persevere in faith and imparting judgment upon those who do not recognize His authority.
