How do we know God's law defines good and evil?

Answered in 1 source

God's law, as revealed in Scripture, provides the unchanging standard of good and evil.

The basis of understanding good and evil lies in the acknowledgment of God's law as the infallible standard established by Him. According to Isaiah 5:24, the people of Israel faced judgment because they rejected the law of Jehovah, which is the definitive articulation of morality. Throughout Scripture, God's law is shown to express His character and declares the obligations of humanity toward Him and one another. Without this law, humanity is left to subjective definitions of morality, which inevitably leads to confusion and moral collapse. Thus, God's law serves as the absolute reference point from which all moral judgments should be made.
