How do we know God's law must be satisfied?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible shows us that God's law is perfect and must be satisfied, which is fulfilled through Christ's obedience.

The law of God is established as holy and must be kept perfectly, as indicated in Romans 7:1-4. Joseph, as a type of Christ, exemplifies this by adhering to his master's law and refusing to engage in sin with Potiphar's wife. Likewise, Christ fulfilled the law through His life and death, which was necessary to provide salvation for His people. He satisfied the demands of the law perfectly, thus illustrating that sin cannot be ignored; it must be paid for, and it is through Christ's obedience that believers are justified before God. Therefore, God's law must be satisfied through Christ's righteousness imputed to the believer.
