How do we know God's love is immutable?

Answered in 1 source

God's love does not change; it is eternal and unshakeable, as He does not change.

The immutability of God's love is highlighted in Malachi 3:6, where it states, 'For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.' This means if God has ever loved you, He continues to love you. His love is not contingent on our behavior or actions; it remains steadfast. All our sins, past, present, and future, are already covered by the blood of Christ, which was shed for us before we were ever born. Thus, we find comfort in knowing that His love will not fail us, regardless of our failings, because His decision to love is based solely on His character, not ours.
