How do we know God's love is unique?

Answered in 1 source

God's love is unique because it is sovereign, particular, and irrevocable, ensuring that those He loves will never perish.

The love of God is unlike any other because it is sovereign and effectual; it specifically targets His elect and ensures their ultimate salvation. Romans 8:38-39 assures us that nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is found in Christ Jesus. This love is election-based (Romans 9:13) and demonstrated through sacrificial action, as seen in 1 John 4:10 where it states that God loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice for our sins. Moreover, this love draws us to Himself and endures beyond life's challenges, marking a relationship that is both transforming and secure. Thus, the believer joyfully exclaims, 'Give me that love!' because there is none like it.
