How do we know God's mercy is extended to us?

God's mercy is extended to us through faith in Christ, who is our golden scepter of mercy.

In Esther 5, the king's golden scepter represents mercy, symbolizing how Christ extends mercy to sinners. The Scriptures affirm that Christ is the golden scepter toward which we, as sinners, can reach out in faith. When we approach God's throne, we do so knowing that due to Christ's sacrifice, we can obtain mercy and forgiveness. Hebrews 4:16 emphasizes this, inviting believers to come boldly to the throne of grace, where mercy is found. Therefore, through faith in Christ, we have the assurance that God's mercy is ever-present and available to all who believe.
