How do we know God's method of reconciliation is effective?

Answered in 1 source

God's method of reconciliation is effective because it is based on the perfect sacrifice of Christ, who met the demands of God's justice (Romans 3:25).

The effectiveness of God's method of reconciliation stems from the nature of the sacrifice made by Christ. According to Romans 3:25, God set forth Christ as a propitiation through faith in His blood. This means that Jesus Christ, in His death, fully satisfied God's justice against sin. Since Jesus was without sin, His sacrifice was sufficient to cover the sins of all whom He represented. The effectiveness of this reconciliation confirms that we can now approach God, as Christ's blood covers our iniquities, and we are seen as righteous in God's eyes because of our faith in Him. No other method could reconcile a holy God with sinful humanity, making Jesus the sole and sufficient means of reconciliation.
