How do we know God's plan includes even our mistakes?

Answered in 1 source

God's sovereign plan encompasses all actions, even our failures, using them for His ultimate purpose.

The sovereignty of God assures us that nothing happens outside of His divine plan, including human error. In 2 Kings 23, even Josiah's misguided decisions were orchestrated within God's sovereign purpose. The Lord directed events leading to Josiah's untimely death as part of His judgment on Judah, showcasing that God can achieve His will through our actions, even when they don't align with His commands. This perspective is reflected in Proverbs 16:9, 'A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.' God's plan is comprehensive and ultimately redeems the failures of His people for His glory.
