How do we know God's plans are necessary?

Answered in 1 source

God's plans are necessary because they are bound by His divine will and purpose.

The necessity of God's plans stems from His absolute sovereignty and predestination. Proverbs 16:1 and 9 illustrate that while humans make plans freely, it is ultimately the Lord who directs their steps. This means that everything that occurs is part of God's predetermined purpose, and thus, what happens is necessary for the fulfillment of His divine will. As Acts 4:27-28 explains, even the actions of wicked men were purposed by God, highlighting that nothing occurs outside of His control. Therefore, God's plans are not only certain but necessary, reflecting His ultimate authority and power.
